Recently launched passenger ferry, the Sally Fox is the first of two new ferries to operate in the Puget Sound, providing a passenger service between Vashon Island and downtown Seattle.
All American Marine partnered with Teknicraft Design Ltd in New Zealand for hull design of the 32m (105′) wave piercing aluminium catamaran. The design allows the ferry to break up wave action, reduce drag and enhance passenger comfort.
Arctic Steel strainers were chosen because stainless steel is the ideal metal to fit in an aluminium vessel engine room, reducing the reaction between dissimilar metals. The Arctic Steel strainers offered exceptional strength, reliability and performance, coupled with quick and easy lid system for access and maintenance.
